Description
The trail is a smooth gravel at first as you start out from the large trailhead. After a short stretch on a gentle grade, you'll reach the
Community Ditch (irrigation canal). You could take the
Community Ditch trail to the left to get to Rte. 93 and the eastern trail system, but Doudy Draw continues across the bridge.
The trail turns to singletrack after the bridge, and begins to steepen. This portion of trail is strewn with loose rocks and has a steeper grade but things mellow out in less than a mile.
At the top of the ascent, you'll reach an intersection where you'd stay right to link up with the
Spring Brook Loop North and South. Stay left to follow the rest of Doudy Draw. This is the most challenging section of trail in the entire system as it ascends steeply to the Flatirons Vista.
Once you get to the top of the ridge, follow the trail north and take in the great views out over the trails you've just ridden. The trail ends at a gate to linkup with the
Flatirons Vista North and South trails.
