Description

Due to the road washout, this trail now must be accessed from Madison Falls Trailhead. From the trailhead parking area, follow the paved road 0.7 miles to the Bypass Trail. Once on the bypass trail, climb steeply 0.3 miles to the signed junction for Cascade Rock Trail.

The trail will climb, contouring through the forest. After a creek crossing, the grade increases noticeably as a ridge must be surmounted. After a series of short, steep switchbacks, the trail ends abruptly at a high point with (mostly treed) views of the Elwah River Valley area.

After the summit, continue another 1/3 mile for a second summit with a slightly clearer view to the west.
