Description

Beginning at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, and winding up to Panola Mountain State Park the Rockdale County Trail is connected to Arabia Mountain Trail, and continues much farther north, in multiple directions.

This segment winds over iron and wooden bridges, along flowing creeks, scenic Alexander Lake, massive fields, rocky outcroppings, and beautiful pine forest.

Flora & Fauna

Plenty of pine and deciduous trees, mossy rocks, lichen, and lush, grassy fields. Prepare to see deer, snakes, bugs galore, and all matter of small, furry critters.
