Elk Meadows is part of a popular loop that uses some dirt roads and the Elk Mountain trail to circle around Elk Mountain near Stanley Lake. The trail starts in the trees on a gentle grade.

You'll pass an old road and continue into Elk Meadows. This is a large meadow with lots of wildlife in the mornings. It can be muddy early in the season, expect mosquitos and come prepared.

Combining this trail and Elk Mountain Trail makes a great loop.
