Beach closed to dogs and horses in springtime due to Tern nesting season.

Runner Notes

No big issues unless you go onto the singletrack.

Description

A nice wide open road out to the Bluff and back. Very flat out to the bluff. Once you get there, there are great views of Fisher's Island and Long Island Sound.

Once you head east and back towards Mumford Cove, there are some undulating hills and then a continuous hill back up to the foundation area. It's then about a mile of downhill road back to the picnic area.

Flora & Fauna

Coastal flora. Inland areas have lots of prickers and brambles but mostly off-trail.

Awesome trail - there are enough mountain biking trails branching off of the main trail to run for an additional hour without even noticing!

Just moved to CT and love the fact there is a nice trail to run. Fairly straight forward compared to the PNW, but I still enjoyed every minute. 3.4mi
