Description

After crossing the large footbridge into Glacier National Park and following the South Boundary Trail, make your way northwest along the steep slopes of Scalplock Mountain to the Park Creek drainage and follow the good trail to the right (NE) and begin making your way up this beautiful mountain valley. The trail follows the meandering creek through the low-country with only slow elevation gain which makes for very pleasant running.

The long, deep glacially formed valley provides amazing views of the peaks that line it. Statuary Peak, a beacon toward the end of the valley, informs you of how much more you have to go. Make camp at the Upper Park Creek camp and relax for the evening.
