Runner Notes

The largest parking lot is off of the Southern Loop, and this position offers access to the rest the trails at the preserve.

Description

This trail features lots of switchbacks and very well-maintained trail sections. Sometimes they even look like they are landscaped. There are also many geologic and natural features pointed out here, mostly on the ridgeline part of the trail. For all of the points of interest, check out the Westchester Land Trust website.

As a fun note, the creator of the popular cartoon, Doonesbury, Garry Trudeau lives next to the preserve with his wife Jane Pauley. Some of the features (Trudeau's Point of View and Pauley's Point Rock) are named for them.
