Runner Notes

This fun trail that run predominately through what was a large grazing meadow for the Hall Ranch. Do not expect to find water on the trail.

Description

This can be used as a connector between the Nighthawk Trail and Bitterbrush Trail. It winds its way through the upper grazing meadow for the old ranch, with changing viewpoints to keep things interesting.

The trail has plenty of small terrain changes to keep your attention and enthusiasm for the whole journey. There are intermittent views of Longs Peak, and a side trail that leads to an old homestead, which is worth checking out.

Flora & Fauna

Park visitors can see wildflowers in the bloom season, raptors, and deer. Mountain lions have been seen in the area according to the Boulder County kiosk.
