Runner Notes
This is a short trail that rises steeply at times to connect to the trails at Hall Ranch. Taking this route offers a nice alternative start to the main parking on Highway 7.
Description
The trail leaves the parking area and starts to climb right away. Several fun switchbacks help to ease the grade, but don't be surprised if you find yourself huffing and puffing by the time you get to the top.
Take a moment to appreciate some of the nice views from a bench about halfway up the trail. This is also a great spot to have a quick snack and relax a bit in the shade on a hot day.
All too soon, this little gem ends with big views at the junction with the
Bitterbrush Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Visitors are likely to see various wildlife, including deer, rabbit, and raptors. Mountain Lions have bee seen in the area according to the Boulder County kiosk.
