Description
Marked as the Winter Trail, this is a great seasonal adventure. In the summer months, this trail is a steeper, less scenic alternative to the
Lost Lake Summer Trail. The trail has more obstacles such as rocks and roots, and fewer scenic viewpoints. This is a strenuous challenge in the summer, if you choose to take it.
However, when taken in the winter, this trail comes into its own. When the closely overhanging foliage is covered in snow, the route turns to a winter wonderland. You'll keep plenty warm heading uphill, and you'll be rewarded with a spectacular viewpoint at the end. The obstacles that make travel difficult in the summer become insulated with snow, and you'll find this a very pleasant route.
Flora & Fauna
Visitors will see fireweed, blueberries, trees, and shrubs all along the way.
