Park about 50 meters from the bridge to NEED Camp. Just before the bridge, the trailhead starts, marked with the Guardian Rock Trail sign.

Follow the trail across a small creek (be mindful it'll be more difficult to cross during higher water level seasons), and continue to follow the left-hand side up the slope. Soon after a decent 7-8% grade, there will be a clearing where you'll have your first good glimpse of Clear Creek from above.

Continue along and the path will even out with minor slopes up and down until you pass through a very mossy section of the trail. Just past this, you'll come up to Guardian Rock standing out beside the creek. Once you're done climbing around on it, continue up the trail where it'll eventually become paved and there will be a bench with a nice vista point of Clear Creek.

Follow up the paved trail to Horse Camp and the end of the trail. You can either double back or continue down Paige Bar Road to end up back at the parking lot.
