Description
Always check
trinitytrailriders.org for the current trail status.
This trail is on Corps land on the west side of Lavon Lake and goes through meadows and woodlands. It leaves from the north side of Brockdale Park trailhead, across the boat ramp road. The first mile goes past the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center and its associated park land and then drops into the lowlands of the various drainage creeks that flow into Lavon Lake.
This segment of Trinity Trail ends at the Lucas Rd underpass, which connects to the next segment of the Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Deer, bobcats and wild pigs have been seen on this trail. Sometimes you will meet the Raptor Center volunteers out walking with their Raptors for some fresh air.
