Runner Notes
Open singletrack with roots on the first part, and lots of rocks on the climb and the summit.
Description
The first part of the trail follows the river and circumnavigates the pond while offering some nice views of Orford Peak behind the pond. The climb to the summit is very steep with rocky stairs. The pine trees on the hill give the trail its name. There is a beautiful view of the Pond and Orford mountain once you reach the summit.
After that, you'll make your way back down to the old camp where you can take a couple of different trails. This trail is open to hiking, running or snowshoeing.
Flora & Fauna
