Probably could trail run without too much difficulty, except may be busy sometimes

Starting from Austin Pass (just below Artist Point), the trail heads South and East, descending approximately 230 m (which means you have to go back up on return!). Once at the low point, you then head up the valley towards Mount Shuksan and Lake Ann, with excellent views of Mount Baker along the way. Near the end of the trail, you'll reach a spot where you'll be able to see the bottom of the Lower Curtis Glacier, a scenic view at your turnaround point. The cumulative elevation gain is around 635 m.
