Trail Hours: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Trail access is not immediately visible from the roadway, and no parking is available. To access the trail, continue off-road about 400 ft. southeast of the intersection of Paloma Pkwy and Sonoran Desert Dr. A metal gate and Phoenix Sonoran Preserve sign marking the beginning of the trail become visible shortly after leaving the road.

Need to Know

If using Bobcat Trail to continue through from either the northern or southern half of the Preserve to the other, note that the intervening trails are private property. Your best route would be to follow Paloma Pkwy and Dove Valley Rd to/from Ocotillo Trail's intersection with the West Skip Rimsza Paseo just east of the crosswalk on Dove Valley.

Description

This lengthy connector isn't terribly exciting, but it is necessary when connecting the neighborhoods north of the park with the Sonoran Desert Preserve. The trail is pretty flat, but is a great slightly uphill warm up leading to the Dixie Mountain Loop.
