Most visitors will access this trail after reaching Radio Ridge via the Upper Aspen Trail #93, Lemmon Lookout, or Mount Lemmon Trail The descent alongside the ski area is a welcome relief from climbing and a fun route into Summerhaven.

Start just east of the ski lifts, near the terminus of the Upper Aspen Trail #93 and there's signage pointing the way down the trail. Quickly you'll descend through the trees with some rocky sections and even some rooted areas too. There are multiple switchbacks along the route, and the trail does seem to go on longer than you'd expect. It's a really shaded area so the respite from the elements is also a relief.

Towards the bottom of the trail, there's a fork with signage to the left (west) towards the Ski Valley parking lot or continue on the trail to the right (east) towards Summerhaven. Here the singletrack gives way to a dirt road that dumps you out onto Turkey Run Road, which is paved once you pass a gate. This road will take you past some homes and right into Summerhaven.

Running up the Aspen Draw Trail will lead to a much different experience of course, since the fun downhill running will be much more of a uphill grind, much of it taken slowly by most.
