Overview
The Lake Haigler Loop is a pedestrian-only loop which wraps around the 28-acre Lake Haigler. It is characterized by hardwoods and towering pines. It is an easy trail, but if you want more mileage or distance, it also connects to a number of other trails. If you are interested in camping, primitive campsites are located in between the lake and the Rush Pavilion.
Description
The trail is relatively easy, though there are some stairs, a brief incline, decline, and a series of boardwalks. The trail also offers a great view all around the beautiful lake, and there is a variety of wildlife to be seen along the shores. When the water levels are high enough, there is a pretty little waterfall on the spillway, which makes for a scenic destination. Fishing is popular here, but you must be a member of the Greenway and have a South Carolina fishing license.
Stop at the informational kiosk at the nature center for a trail map, which includes a self-guided tour of the loop or download a copy

Flora & Fauna
Ducks, other native birds, beaver, turtles, deer and many other full-time residents can be seen from this trail.
