No matter where you start this trail from, it's a fairly easy run. There are a few steeper grades though the hills and parts of the trail can stay pretty muddy after a good rain. It has several connections with other trails in the park allowing you to run all day if you wanted. Overall, it's a great nature run, taking you through the Bird Sanctuary portion of the lake as well as spending plenty of time wandering through the woods.
