Runner Notes

Meet your gruff uncle Taylor. With a narrow trail, uncertain footing, off camber corners and encroaching vegetation with claws, this park just wouldn’t be complete without this charming connector.

Description

Taylor's Trail starts from a lower corner of Down South and heads northwest across private property. The trail is open to runners, but is not consistently maintained - mostly this just means it gets a bit overgrown in the spring and summer.

The trail starts by traversing beneath the footstep of a mellow grade with alders and vegetation creating a bright corridor. Just make sure to watch out for a few camouflaged roots lurking across the trail. After a short distance, the grade steepens and it slowly begins to pick its way uphill with occasional dips and off-camber corners that are easily managed in the dry.

At the top, Taylor's Trail feeds back into park property where at the border between the alders and Douglas Firs. Just beyond there it ends on Up Quick.

Flora & Fauna

There are a number of blackberry bushes in the middle of the trail that make for a tasty snack.
