Description
From the visitor center, take the trail heading southwest marked Laguna Toro. After a short while, you'll reach an intersection indicating the trail for Loma del Pliegue Tumbado.
The trail begins amid low, rocky hills and shrublands with good views of Cerro Torre and Fitzroy. At about 2 miles, the trail enters the forest for about another two miles.
When you exit the forest, you'll see Loma del Pliegue Tumbado - a dark rocky hill in front of you - and the climbers path to the top. Follow the climbers path, which gets steep near the summit but never dangerous, to the summit.
From the summit you can see both Cerro Torre and Fitzroy to the north and the impressive Rio Tunel Valley to the south.
For the curious, Loma del Pliegue Tumbado roughly translates to "hill of the collapsed fold", referring a geological feature of the mountain.
