Description

This loop ventures through the Shore Road Preserve, which is owned and managed by the North Shore Land Alliance.

Long-term residents of the area will recognize this area as a former Exxon Mobil fueling site. However, recent restorations have turned this area into a thriving grassland with shoreline, and the area is now protected for public use.

This beach is an important nesting site for horseshoe crabs, making it a fun destination for visitors who want to see these prehistoric animals up close.

Flora & Fauna

Visitors will see many beach-going critters, but horseshoe crabs are the highlight.
