Description

This is a singletrack trail into the Rocky Face Mountain Recreation Area. It is a lollipop through the heart of the trail system.

After climbing the initial stone carved stair steps, follow the gravel path to the start of the Buzzard Loop Trail. Follow Buzzard Loop to the start of the Hollow Rock Trail. You'll have to run over a barren rocky landscape at points which is lined by a cable fencing system to provide protection from the exposed Rocky Face.

The singletrack trail winds though forest to the top of the Recreation Area and then back again. There is a surprising nice landscape view from the top of the surrounding mountains. This is a fun trail and well worth the up-and-back run.
