Description
To get to this trail, you'll need to first take the
Saddleback Trail to the top of the saddle between Saddle Mountain and Fairview Mountain. From the broad saddle, look for this trail on the west side just before the thick short pines on the southern end of the saddle. The trail will pass through some pines very quickly and then you'll be above the tree line for the rest of the run - be mindful of the weather.
The trail should be really clear the whole way. It switchbacks a little on the ascent, but the switchbacks are fairly small for the most part. Thus, the trail can seem a little steep, but it never requires any scrambling.
Before you know it, you'll be at the summit. Enjoy the excellent views of
Lake Louise far below and to the north, Mount Temple to the south, Bow Valley to the east, and the Plain of Six Glaciers to the west.
