Description

This is more of a short, dirt road than anything else, but it's a must-stop for the viewing platform and telescope. If you come between the end of February and middle of March, expect other visitors, some human but mostly birds. Every year around this time, an estimated 30,000 Greater Sandhill Cranes migrate through this Wildlife Refuge from Arizona, New Mexico, and further south up to Northern Colorado, Wyoming, and around the Canadian border.
