Runner Notes

Parts of this trail along the Trempealeau River to on the west/north side, can be underwater when the Mississippi River is running high. This is most noticeable during the spring melt.

Description

This trail is a simple, singletrack trail that runs along the edges of the Trempealeau River on the west end of the trail and along the Mississippi River on the south and east sides of the trail. The route connects with the Perrot Ridge Trail and runs very close to the starting points for Brady's Bluff Trail - West and Brady's Bluff Trail - East.

Along the way, runners can expect a shady and gentle trip, as the trail features very gentle grades. You'll pass multiple parking areas, which makes this perfect for those who are in a hurry, or who need to get to a ranger station quickly. With plenty of connections with other trails, this can be a great warm up. Due to proximity to two major rivers, expect bugs in the summer months.
