Not recommended in inclement weather due to highly exposed sections.
Description
The Pinchgut Track is a rather steep track leading up the western side of Mt. Robert. From the Mt. Robert car park, follow the well-posted signs to the track. The track climbs steadily switchbacking ever more tightly as you ascend. The first 0.7 miles or so of the track is quite exposed with occasional tree cover, while the latter half weaves through beautiful forest before emerging above the tree line. A short exposed run takes you to Relax Shelter, a bare-bones shelter that can be used as a lunch stop.
From here, you can continue along to Lake Angeles or take Paddy's Track east to complete the Mt. Robert Circuit and arrive back at the carpark.
