Runner Notes

Beaver Lake is a very small lake. During late summer it is grown in with reeds and grass. Only a small water area remains near the head of the lake.

Description

Starting at La Sal Pass kiosk, you'll wind down to the lower trailhead for 4 miles. The trail is a pleasant run past Beaver Lake and continues on to La Sal Pass Rd 0073. This trail is an out and back. You can do a loop back to La Sal pass by returning up La Sal Pass Rd 0073. This trail is also mountain bike accessible, so keep an eye or an ear out for other trail users.

Flora & Fauna

You'll likely see deer and wild birds, including hawks. The trail winds through several groves of large aspen trees and the depending on the time of year, a bloom in color of wildflowers.
