Description

From Long Path: Section 22 from the north turn right or from south turn left on the Snowmobile Connector and go up 0.20 miles to snowmobile trail Round Top-High Peak Loop. Turn right to find a herd path marked with a stone cairn. Take this unmarked path for the north ascent of Kaaterskill High Peak. This is a serious climb over some steep slopes and narrow ledges. From one of the ledges you'll have a north view. The path near the top is almost flat. There are a number of false trails, so you have to be careful; you can use the Trail Run Project mobile app to make sure you take the correct path.

While there are no views on summit, the challenge can be its own reward. I like this challenging trail.
