Starting from Monstein, the Monstein to Weisen route is a challenge. The route starts a steady climb out of the hanging valley to an uphill traverse to the south. After one short respite, the final bit of the climb creeps along a steep mountain shoulder.

From there, enjoy a consistent downhill in and out of a drainage to another section of steep descending. The trail can get steep at times so watch your footing. The trail weaves in and out of another gully, crosses a creek and navigates several switchbacks and turns near the bottom.

You'll cross the main valley and take a hard left to run into the Davos-Wiesen train station.
