This is a beautiful run through some Hocking Hills backcountry. The payoff (Jacob's Ladder Overlook) is near the trailhead.

Thw trailhead is approximately .5 miles from the parking lot. The beginning of the trail shares a private driveway. The trailhead and parking areas are clearly marked.

Maps at the trailhead indicate a Orange Loop and a Blue Loop. The Orange Loop (nearest trailhead) has the overlook. This featured run is a single loop of both the Blue and Orange loops.

Along the trail there are lots of wildflowers, some very old barns and buildings, and a great view at Jacobs Ladder.
