Description

This trail climbs up from a parking turnout area on Hwy 243 just north of Idyllwild all the way up to Pacific Crest Trail. It goes through fabulous south-facing conifer slopes with great views of Fern Valley and most of SoCal. Along the way, expect a mixed tread and steep grades.

This is just one section of the trail. This section by itself is OK, not great. Views are only intermittent, and there isn't much shade.
