This loop trail starts with a steep climb right out of the parking lot, but at least its quite short. The trail climbs (punctuated by a few downhills) for the first couple miles, before descending (with one short steep section) for about a mile. The rest of the trail rolls up and down back to the trailhead. Most of the trail is hard pack dirt, but there are a few sandy sections.
Overall this is a nice trail that winds through the woods.
