Description

This trail is best accessed from the Big Tree parking (the top of School St. in Forest City) and can be done in either direction. There are plenty of switchbacks, mainly upon Pliocene Ridge, where most of the climbing is. The terrain features canopied, loamy, pine needle covered conditions. Great summer running due to the shade and mild weather.

Some highlights include beautifully crafted rock walls and bridges. There aren't a ton of rugged obstacles but there are some rocks and roots about. Many of the trails here have segments that follow along, or are in an old irrigation ditch that doesn't gain/lose much elevation

Most of the elevation gain/loss is near the Big Tree parking - otherwise it has short ups and downs, with some tight turns but very little exposure.
