The Noxubee Hills Trail System is in a multiuse National Forest area. During hunting seasons, primarily deer and turkey (spring), you should wear BLAZE ORANGE. All forest users are expected to wear blaze during hunting seasons. There are not a lot of hunters in this area but there are some. A blaze vest or shirt ensures your visibility. Rangers are emphatic that all trail users need to comply with this safety rule.

Description

This blue blazed trail runs from Pigeon Roost Road to Rockcrusher Road. It begins at Pigeon Roost Road, directly across from the Blue E trail that is described in the previous post. This trail /road junction is one mile north of the Pigeon Roost Rd/ Sheep Ranch Rd intersection.

Three Bridges trail begins as a gentle downhill run through a pine forest. There is one sharp switchback and a steep drop into the bottomland. Once at the bottom there are two bridged creek crossings in close proximity before the narrow trail begins a sharp uphill with some technical turns. At the top of the climb, 0.6 mile, is the trail junction with Power Line Trail, another blue trail.

To continue on Three Bridges be sure to take the trail to the right. Technical singletrack continues over some fairly rough land and crosses under a power line. Immediately beyond the power lines the trail begins a long climb on narrow trail with turns. The descent down the other side of the hill is also very narrow trail with multiple tight turns. At the bottom is the third bridge of the Three Bridges Trail.

After crossing the third bridge the trail once again begins a climb with lots of switchbacks. This new singletrack was built as an Eagle Scout Project along with the 3 small bridges. The singletrack T's an old service road and the runner turns left. The service road continues a gradual uphill until it Ts into Rockcrusher Road, another section of the trail system.

This is one of the more rugged trails in the Nox trail system.
