This trail system is in a multiuse National Forest area. During hunting seasons, primarily deer and turkey (spring), you should wear BLAZE ORANGE. All forest users are expected to wear blaze during hunting seasons. There are not a lot of hunters in this area but there are some. A blaze vest or shirt ensures your visibility. Rangers are emphatic that all trail users need to comply with this safety rule.

Description

The blue blazed Log Jump Trail begins about mile 1.4 on Sheep Ranch Trail and runs north 1.6 miles to the lower end of Noxubee Hill Road. For nearly the first mile this trail runs down a gentle ridge along an old skid road through primarily pine forest. There are some logs across this section of trail offering though most of the orginal logs have rotted awayl.

The trail continues down to a creek offering a nice drop into bottomland hardwoods and a good view of a large wildlife food plot (green field). After crossing the creek the trail continues in bottomland until it reaches an old fire road. Log Jump Trail crosses the doubletrack and gradually winds uphill until it reaches an open area with a road, a gate and Noxubee Hill Rd. Going straight leads into the Charlotte's Web Trail - aka CW Trail. Going around the gate and across the road leads to the Long Bridge Trail.
