A much deserved downhill after climbing Innie Trail. Rolling but steeper with one climb.

Description

Outie Trail is one of the top downhills in the Prince Creek trail system. Dropping off the opposite side of the saddle, Outie Trail descends through sage brush before getting low enough for scrub oak to take over.

The top section throughout the sage is steeper and open, with only a few tight turns. The middle section in the scrub oak is looser and the turns are tighter. The end of the middle section ends with a short but very steep climb that leads to the intersection of Buckhorn Trail.

After the intersection of Buckhorn you descend through more sage with winding turns and a few tight ones. The sage ends and you'll be in the scrub oak and some pines. Winding through the wooded area, the trail is still super fun. Before reaching the other end of the Outie Trail you'll descend the first of a couple steep hills on the lower section. This area is also the rockiest of the whole trail. There are a few more up and down gullies; after the last one you continue to climb a short way turning right on an old doubletrack which leads down to the meadow with the Chicken Coop and the end of North Porcupine Trail.
