Weber Gulch is a tail of two trails. The upper section from True Romance to Trail of Tears is nice switchback singletrack. The lower section from Trail of Tears to Sallie Barber Road is straight down an old water sluice that is quite steep and composed of loose rock and gravel.

The upper section can be done comfortably in either direction. Descending the lower section would be a viable technical run, however climbing it would be a bit of a slog.

Weber Gulch (upper section) is a pleasant way to make a loop out of Nightmare on Baldy Trail, True Romance Trail, and Trail of Tears if you are already up at the Sallie Barber Mine or running through the Sallie Barber Road.

Many short trails in the French Gulch area to loop for a fun run accessible from either the French Gulch road or from town via Barney Ford or Juniata Trail.
