Description

The Elder-Fehn Trail begins at the Catamount Recreation Area parking lot. The singletrack ascends and descends along the terrain near the reservoir, with a few short, steep parts, but nothing too challenging or technical.

At mile 1.5, the Vayhinger Trail runs south towards North Catamount Creek and connects to the Catamount Trail.

The Elder-Fehn Trail then continues to gently climb towards a prominence, looping around the north side and gradually climbing to the apex at the south side of the loop. The trail then descends back to the beginning of the loop.
