Description

This trail goes from the Pines Group Camp to the Ice Age Center, ending where the Ice Age National Scenic Trail joins the park trail system and continues into the Horizon Rock Trail. It follows the outer rim of the St. Croix River Valley through old-growth forests. There is a junction with the Ravine Trail near the halfway point for access to the beach parking lot and the Lake O' the Dalles area.

The portion of the trail nearest to the Ice Age Center is marked as an interpretive trail with signs describing the plant ecosystems of the park.
