This is a multi-use trail, so be courteous to equestrian traffic.

Description

Whitetail Trail is the main horse trail that leads equestrians from the Highway 71 trailhead to the rest of the parks equestrian trails; however it is open to foot traffic as well. This trail is very flat and wide and there is no elevation change.

Whitetail Trail takes you on a tour of three major ecosystems: pine forest, oak forest, and grasslands. It also passes by some older structures that are a reminder of the ranching history in the area.
