Description

From the Milford Track, take the big suspension bridge across Roaring Burn. Once you reach Quintin Lodge, turn left and continue back into the forest, passing the Quintin Shelter on the left. The first part of the track is fairly flat. After a third of a mile, you cross Arthur River over another bridge. What follows is a very steep section with stairs and a rocky track. The ascent is worth it; at 1 mile, you cross the Arthur River again and get a great preview of Sutherland Falls. Continue further through the beech forest until you reach the base of the falls.
