Description
This trail is primarily used by horseback riders but is also open to foot traffic. It is often used as an extension to the Cole Loop Trail (#854) for endurance training reasons.
This loop trail starts at a junction with the
Cole Loop Trail # 854 at its northernmost point. The trail primarily parallels the dirt roads on the Crooked River National Grassland, which makes for easy travel, and is a good option for folks desiring to travel a more moderate distance. Near the start of the loop, the trail follows a few dirt roads before splitting off onto doubletrack.
The loop is 9.6 miles long and ends at Cyrus Horse Camp and Trailhead where it intersects with the
Cole Loop Trail # 854.
Flora & Fauna
