This is a beautiful trail along the cliffs of the Irish Sea between two small towns south of Dublin. It provides great views of the surrounding scenery including rock faces, sea, and flora/fauna.

There is often traffic coming from the other direction, and not much width for easy passing on some parts of the trail.

This is a relatively easy run that is bidirectional. Runners can start in either the town, but most travelers coming from Dublin start in Brey and finish in Greystones. Both trailheads are accessible from the DART train so no car is required to travel between the two starting points.

The trail is a well-marked singletrack that is mostly gravel. There are a few stairs and hills required to traverse the cliffs, but overall it is very manageable terrain. Look out over the sea as you run to see many species of birds, and occasionally falcons during the proper season.

Along the way, there are occasional branch points that will take you higher up the cliffs for a better view of the surrounding area, and you can easily return from these points to continue on the trail. Although the scenery is beautiful, it does not change much over the course of the run and can become repetitive.

Both towns have many restaurants and shops where a hungry traveler can grab a bite to eat or a pint to drink.

Peregrine falcons can be seen here during the proper season, usually the spring and summer months.
