Description
The start of the trail is in the tourist camp called Pivka jama. After a short run trough the forest, we begin to climb our first hill Saint Lovrenc (1,019 m, 3,343 ft.), from there we take a short descent and continue on the gravel road to a quite technical ridge. Here, we continue to Planinska gora (873 m, 2,864 ft.).
After a steep descent towards the village of Planina, we turn into the forest where we continue towards the magical place Rakov Škocjan. This is followed by a short run through the park before returning back on the gravel road toward the main goal of the day - the ascent on Veliki javornik (1,286 m, 4,160 ft.), where we climb 550 m (1,760 ft.) in just 1.6 km (one mile).
After arriving at the top, we can see great Cerknica Lake, Europe's largest intermittent lake. The path here turns towards the finish with a long descent towards the town of Postojna and the finish line.
Bring joy and a smile to the finish.
