Description
Kebler Wagon Trail is fairly new and offers up singletrack just past Kebler Pass. It's a nice alternative to running the road especially when the road is dusty before the county has put mag chloride on it. With the new trail it also makes for a more enjoyable run on Dyke Trail Loop if running from town or running the loop back up to Lake Irwin.
The trail starts just a bit over 3 miles outside of town off of Kebler Pass Road. Look for a brown forest service sign that reads "Kebler Pass Wagon TR No. 606" and a trail that starts to switchback up the hill. After a short climb you'll be a bit above Kebler Pass Road and out of the traffic/dust the cars kick up. After another 3 miles the trail crosses the highway and continues briefly on a doubletrack before turning back into singletrack. After crossing a meadow you'll cross the highway once more and begin climbing up into a pine forest. The trail intersects once more with a doubletrack and the Lake Irwin Road.
Follow the doubletrack to the west—if you get to Lake Irwin Road, you've gone too far. In a half mile on the doubletrack it will turn back into singletrack with a downhill that ends on Kebler Pass Road.
