Runner Notes

Just because it is downhill don't expect it to be easy. This trail is part of the Grand Mesa 100 course.

Description

Starting from Carson Lake, run across the dam heading south down the Kannah Creek Trail. This is a long, long downhill. Be ready for rocky, fallen trees, water crossings, and wildlife. The trail starts above the Rim of the Grand Mesa around 10,000 ft. in the cool forest atmosphere and ends down around 6000 ft. where it is dry and can be hot in the summer. The trail ends in the Kannah Creek parking lot.

Run up and hiked down. Awesome trail except for the bear hunters. Saw a bear while hiking down the trail. Lake at the top is awesome. 9mi
