Description

From the footbridge connecting to Marilyn Bland Prairie Trail, wind through the scrub and mature hardwood forest on the banks of Fleming Creek. You'll see a couple of small waterfalls with crossings on the creek periodically. During the season, be aware of the Massasauga rattlesnake, but consider it a treat if you see one! Because the entire trail lies on a swampy creek bottom, be prepared to have wet and muddy feet!

Flora & Fauna

Deer, squirrel, canadian geese, groundhogs, and birds of all sorts can be found here. Mature hardwood trees are rather lacking due to the native elm population being decimated, but there are still quite a few cottonwood and a few mighty oaks to be seen.
