Need to Know
There are about three stream crossings. One has a wooden bridge over it. The others you'll have to hop over. As far as obstacles go there may be some down trees, roots, and rocks larger than gravel, but they generally don't last long.
At the trailhead off Green Pond Road, it looks like you could fit one or two cars. Not sure how official this is. You'll have to pull into the trail and the space is immediately on the left. On the
Wildcat Ridge Trail side, there is a shoulder up the hill by the power lines where you can park or there is room for one or two cars across the street from
Wildcat Ridge Trail on an unmarked trail with one car in parallel, maybe two head first.
Description
This is a straight-forward 5-6 foot wide carriage trail that can be started either from where Green Pond Road and Lake Denmark Road meet or from Upper Hibernia Road. There is a small grade and little in terms of obstacles. It's a pleasant trail on its own but I imagine can be used to extend the
Wildcat Ridge Trail or make a loop out of the
Oreland Trail (plus some road running).
