Description

To get to the trail drive up Sun Valley Road. Turn right on Corral Creek Road. Follow the road to the parking lot. There is a park service outhouse at the trailhead.

From the parking lot there are two trails that start at the same point. This trail will be the left of the two. This is a steep trail used to access the Pioneer Cabin. There are wonderful views of the surrounding area. You may encounter snow into late spring. There are several creek crossings along the route.

This trail can be combined with Pioneer Cabin Trail #122 to make a loop back to the same parking lot or you can do a up and over into East Fork. Be prepared with plenty of food, water, and layers. Pioneer Cabin was built in the 1930's by Sun Valley as a ski chalet. Look on the roof for the quote, "The higher you get the higher you get."
