There is a sensitive ecosystem along the first set of boulders, known as the Daisy Boulders. Please stay off and take only pictures.

Overview

This run is an easy run from a well signed parking lot down to the beach, and along the beach to a set of boulders that are fantastic for mini-family adventures! The parking lot can fill up, but people come and go all day long so it doesn't take long to get a spot.

The trail is well signed and easy enough to do with kids. The beach is filled with cliffs, boulders, and places to adventure.

Need to Know

Pack out garbage, and please watch the Daisy Boulders!

Description

Run just over 1 km to the beach and there are distance markers every 100 m to keep the kids occupied!

Once at the cobbled stone beach, the trail goes west to a bedrock outcropping that provides small climbing, flat, shallow pools, and a great viewpoint.

Beyond the bedrock outcropping the Halfway Log Dump Boulders start. The first set of boulders are home to a sensitive ecosystem with threatened wildflowers. This ecosystem within the cracks on the boulders and the tops is very similar to an alpine setting, so the flowers are fragile. Please say off and pick nothing.

Continue on a little further to another set of boulders, and the fun can begin! Climb and adventure away! When you are done exploring for the day, simply return to the trailhead the way you came.
